The San Francisco Bay Area has a an active and diverse capoeira community. There are dozens of schools teaching capoeira classes in a variety of traditions and styles, and rodas and events happening every week. The community tends to be open, welcoming, and collaborative. This page is an attempt to provide information on all the ways to participate, for locals and visitors. If possible it's always good to contact organizers in advance, and please come with respect and openness to the traditions and practices of the hosts.
